Abstract
⺠DNS analysis of a three dimensional supersonic lifted jet flame is presented. ⺠High-resolution bandwidth-optimized WENO scheme is adopted for shock capturing. ⺠Premixed combustion is significant within the violent mixing region. ⺠Heat release rate in high-speed region is significantly affected by compressibility. ⺠Auto-ignition at the laminar flame base stabilizes the supersonic lifted jet flame.
