Abstract
⺠N-heptane and i-octane are studied at diesel engine conditions in a constant volume cell. ⺠Ignition delay is studied as function of pressure and temperature. ⺠The experiments include classical diesel combustion regimes and PCCI-like conditions. ⺠The Flamelet Generated Manifold (FGM) method is applied in a CFD code to model experiments. ⺠The model recovered the ignition delays for n-heptane for varying conditions.
