Abstract
► N-heptane and i-octane are studied at diesel engine conditions in a constant volume cell. ► Ignition delay is studied as function of pressure and temperature. ► The experiments include classical diesel combustion regimes and PCCI-like conditions. ► The Flamelet Generated Manifold (FGM) method is applied in a CFD code to model experiments. ► The model recovered the ignition delays for n-heptane for varying conditions.
