Abstract
⺠A comprehensive set of octane number data for LPG mixtures was obtained. ⺠The test methods used were consistent with the ASTM methods for liquid fuels. ⺠The RONs and MONs for LPG were non-linear with respect to fuel composition. ⺠Existing fuel standards constrain LPG's RON to be far higher than standard gasolines. ⺠These observations have implications for the design of future LPG quality standards.
