Abstract
⺠A methodology was established to study the preliminary cracking of heavy oil. ⺠A new reaction route was proposed concerning the participation of zeolite pores. ⺠An active matrix is effective in the cracking of aromatic components. ⺠The apparent effect of thermal reactions may be negative for heavy feeds.
