Abstract
⺠Char samples are produced at up to 1600 °C and 2.5 MPa. ⺠Char is produced above the ash melting temperature in an entrained flow reactor. ⺠A significant loss of surface area is measured in the later stages of conversion. ⺠The loss is attributed to the melting of mineral matter. ⺠The char reaction kinetics with CO2 and H2O are measured in a pressurised TGA.
