Abstract
⺠We develop a comprehensive mathematical model for coal pyrolysis and heat transfer. ⺠Simulations of temperature history and volatile evolution are performed. ⺠Effects of heat of pyrolysis and transpirational convection are investigated. ⺠Size effects of particle on temperature history and volatile yields are discussed.
