CO2 capture in Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle with SEWGS - Part B: Economic assessment

► Economic assessment of SEWGS is performed and compared to reference capture processes. ► SEWGS cost share is less than 10% of the total plant cost. ► SEWGS working conditions were optimized to minimize the cost of CO2 avoided. ► Cost of CO2 avoided of SEWGS in IGCC is about 23 €/tCO2. ► SEWGS reduces the cost of CO2 avoided of about 50% than competitive technologies.
