Abstract
⺠A review of MCDC model and Kong-Reitz model is presented. ⺠We perform a detailed comparison between experiments, MCDC and other models. ⺠A single cylinder oil test engine is used for model validation over six operating modes. ⺠MCDC model shows improved prediction cylinder averaged results. ⺠The improvements are analyzed by evaluation of the time scales from MCDC model.
