Abstract
► HSDI diesel engine fueled with 20% n-butanol or DEE in cottonseed oil and biodiesel. ► Comparing combustion and emissions vs. neat cottonseed oil and its neat bio-diesel. ► Cylinder pressures reduce, and ignition delays increase with blends. ► Smoke, NOx and CO decrease, and unburned HC increase with blends. ► Specific fuel consumption decreases and thermal efficiency increases with blends.
