Abstract
⺠HSDI diesel engine fueled with 20% n-butanol or DEE in cottonseed oil and biodiesel. ⺠Comparing combustion and emissions vs. neat cottonseed oil and its neat bio-diesel. ⺠Cylinder pressures reduce, and ignition delays increase with blends. ⺠Smoke, NOx and CO decrease, and unburned HC increase with blends. ⺠Specific fuel consumption decreases and thermal efficiency increases with blends.
