Abstract
⺠The sulfur adsorption sites of Ag/TiO2 and Ag/Al2O3 were acidic in nature. ⺠The acid sites were generated after activation and Ag impregnation. ⺠The thiophenic species are preferentially adsorbed on the surface hydroxyl groups.
