Abstract
► 0.5 wt% Na2CO3 + ORS-46L could provide a low IFT for the oil and brine tested. ► CO2 dissolved readily in the reservoir fluid at moderate pressures (3-6 MPa). ► N2 in the CO2 stream reduced the gas solubility. ► In the WAG mode, CO2 recovered more oil than flue gas (9.43% vs. 3.58% IOIP). ► Displacement efficiency was greatly improved by the WAG augmented with chemicals.
