Abstract
- Chemical kinetics of gas phase cracking of cellulose was studied.
- More than 20 products were quantitatively monitored.
- A detailed kinetic model consisting of more than 8000 reactions was first developed.
- The model reproduced experimental results well.
- Reaction path from cellulose to first aromatic ring (benzene) was identified.
