Abstract
► PLS regression and distillation curves were effective to predict diesel flash point. ► PLS regression and distillation curves were effective to predict cetane index. ► RMSEP values obtained were lower than models based on spectrometric techniques. ► The models presented good accuracy and are suitable for routine analysis.
