Abstract
► Blending iron waste and lime improve reactivity of sorbents towards desulfurization. ► The improvement in reactivity is either due to effect of lime to hematite or vice versa. ► Among the variables tested, temperature had the highest effect. ► Use of iron waste is advantageous to both desulfurization and reduction of landfill.
