Abstract
⺠We evaluate laminar burning velocity and flame thickness correlations for ethanol. ⺠Reliable ethanol laminar burning velocity data at engine conditions are scarce. ⺠We calculate laminar ethanol flames at engine conditions using chemical kinetics. ⺠A new laminar burning velocity correlation form closely fits the calculation results. ⺠An existing flame thickness correlation is adapted to be valid for ethanol flames.
