Abstract
► The rate of carbon conversion in is investigated with 1-30% O2 in CO2. ► An innovative aerodynamic levitator particle reactor (ALPR) is presented. ► ALPR is compared with isothermal and non-isothermal thermogravimetric analysis. ► Results have been fitted to simple rate expressions for oxy-fuel combustion. ► Commonly used kinetic laws proved unsatisfactory at high temperature.
