Abstract
► Copper and brass are prone to be corroded in biodiesel. ► Corrosion rate significantly decreases at higher temperature in the absence of oxygen. ► High temperature and light favors degradation in biodiesel fuel. ► Light absence at room temperature is the most suitable condition for biodiesel storage. ► Metallic ions accelerate the oxidation reactions of biodiesel.
