Abstract
► Benzene used as co-reactant in the dehydrogenation of heavy paraffins improves conversion and catalyst stability. ► Swing trickle bed reactors coupled with catalyst regeneration provides higher yield of olefins than gas phase reactors. ► PtCu on structured alumina working in liquid phase produces more terminal olefins than conventional Pt/alumina catalyst. ► The dehydrogenation product used without fractionation in the alkylation stage for LAB productionshows promising results.
