Abstract
⺠Different solution methods of a biomass pyrolysis particle model are compared. ⺠When coupling a particle model to a reactor model a new method is the fastest. ⺠ODEs solvers are just the fastest method with constant boundary conditions. ⺠The new method is an iterative, fractional-step algorithm. ⺠It is based on the analysis of the characteristic times of each phenomenon.
