Boosting the gasoline octane number in thermally coupled naphtha reforming heat exchanger reactor using de optimization technique

► The DE optimization technique has been used to find the best operating parameters in the naphtha coupled reactors. ► Inlet temperature and molar flow rate of exothermic and endothermic sides are the important optimized parameters. ► In this research maximizing the aromatics is the best possible objective function. ► There is a significant increase in hydrogen and aromatics production rate of the optimized reactor. ► The results of this research provide a methodology for designing thermally couples reactors.
