Abstract
► Wood pyrolysis was characterized in a drop tube reactor at temperatures above 1000 °C. ► Different temperatures and particle sizes were tested. ► No particle effect was observed during the experiments. ► High temperatures favor hydrocarbon destruction and soot formation. ► Char and soot suffer from some changes with a temperature increase.
