Abstract
► Choice and proportions of surrogate compounds are keys for actual fuel emulation. ► A methodology for gasoline surrogate building based on simple properties is proposed. ► Engine results prove the adequacy of this methodology. ► Surrogate experimentally recovers combustion progress and pollutant emissions. ► Gasoline emulation with surrogate in a 3D CFD code allows reproducing experiment.
