Abstract
⺠Neem biodiesel was produced from neem kernels and fruit using a two-step acid-base catalyzed esterification process. ⺠The basic physical properties of neem biodiesel were in agreement with those of regular petrodiesel. ⺠The neem biodiesel and commercial biofuels were compared in terms of their trace elemental profiles using ICP-MS. ⺠Forty elements were detected in the neem biofuel and a greater level of purity was found in comparison with B100.
