Abstract
⺠Some antioxidants decompose or volatilize below 110 °C. ⺠Rancimat method is used to determine oxidation stability a 110 °C for long periods. ⺠TBHQ, BHA, BHT, gallic acid and EDTA showed thermal decomposition lower than 110 °C. ⺠We suggest modifying the standard method or choosing the P-DSC and petroOxy methods. ⺠Natural antioxidants have strong heat resistance: α-tocopherol > caffeic > ferulic (acid).
