Abstract
► Study of the impact of hydrous ethanol blends on Flex-Fuel engine performance. ► FTIR used for unburned ethanol and aldehyde measurements. ► Aldehydes and unburned ethanol increased with hydrous ethanol addition. ► Hydrous ethanol addition reduced CO and THC emissions. ► NOX emissions did not show a direct relation with ethanol addition.
