Abstract
⺠Several Cu-based oxygen carriers for CLOU process were developed. ⺠The reaction rates for oxygen generation and regeneration were determined in a TGA. ⺠Agglomeration and attrition phenomena was determined in batch fluidized-bed tests. ⺠Materials with 60 wt.% CuO on MgAl2O4 or 40 wt.% CuO on ZrO2 were found to be adequate.
