Abstract
⺠Reactive extraction (RE) of castor seed to produce FAME of castor oil. ⺠Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize the reaction conditions. ⺠A quadratic polynomial equation was obtained from the designed experimental data. ⺠The coefficient of determination (R2) of the model is 0.9983. ⺠The yield of FAME from RE of castor seed is 88.2% at optimized reaction condition.
