Abstract
⺠A model for microwave induced pyrolysis of wood is developed. ⺠Primary and secondary reactions are coupled with transport phenomena. ⺠Predicted and measured weight loss characteristics show a good agreement. ⺠High yields of bio-oil can be produced from the microwave pyrolysis of wood blocks.
