Abstract
⺠Depending on the heating rate, either explosive or slow reaction events are observed. ⺠Experimental results are reproduced with an extended Semenov model. ⺠The reaction type is a function of the composition and thermochemical feedback. ⺠The heating rate needs to be included in safety analyses.
