Abstract
⺠A reduced chemistry of 112 reactions with 46 species was coupled with a CFD code. ⺠Effects of split-main injection parameters on soot processes were studied. ⺠Start of injection, split-main ratio and dwell period were parameters of interest. ⺠Fuel mass/duration of injection and flame temperature shape the soot processes. ⺠Power law relates soot surface growth rate and mass fraction of rich, hot charge.
