Abstract
⺠SANS/USANS is used to characterize pore structure of a tight gas reservoir. ⺠The dominant pores in three tight gas samples are in the mesopore/macropore range. ⺠SANS/USANS-derived surface areas are higher than those derived from adsorption. ⺠SANS/USANS-derived porosities are higher than those derived from helium porosimetry. ⺠Open versus closed porosity can be determined from the combined techniques.
