Abstract
► Ru0.1Ni10/γ-Al2O3 catalyst was effective in catalyzing glucose SCWG. ► The addition of Ru increased the stability of the Ni10/γ-Al2O3 catalyst in SCWG. ► The addition of Ru as a modifier improved the Ni dispersion in Ni10/γ-Al2O3. ► The addition of Ru also enhanced the reducibility of the NiO in Ni10/γ-Al2O3.
