Abstract
► Corn stover pyrolysis yields were evaluated in a pressurized batch reactor. ► Maximum bio-char and liquid product yield were obtained at 400 °C. ► Bio-char has high heating value and composition similar to solid fuels. ► Bio-oil consisted of a wide range of chemicals based on FTIR and GC-MS analysis. ► The gas product consisted mainly of carbon dioxide, hydrogen and methane.
