Abstract
⺠Analogously to Cl, Br has a role in high temperature corrosion and dioxin formation. ⺠Bromine has natural and anthropogenic sources depending upon the fuel type. ⺠Most important anthropogenic sources are BFRs, pesticides and biocides. ⺠Municipal and industrial wastes and sludge may have high bromine content.
