Abstract
⺠Forms of Br, Cl, Zn, Pb, S present in combustion gases and deposits were modeled. ⺠Cl and Br form mainly gaseous (1100 °C) and solid (400 °C) alkali metal halides. ⺠Relative corrosivity of bromine vs. chlorine containing deposits was estimated. ⺠ZnBr2-K2SO4 is more corrosive than ZnCl2-K2SO4 at lower temperatures.
