Abstract
⺠We present the thermal degradation of animal fat in the presence of water and sodium carbonate (input up to 40 kg/h). ⺠A hydrocarbon based bio-crude and non-condensable gases are produced. ⺠The rectification of bio-crude produces a gasoline as well as a diesel fraction. ⺠Bio-diesel has a CFPP of â18 °C with oxidation stability between that of mineral oil based diesel and FAME.
