Abstract
⺠A CaO/bio-based sorbent is developed with high calcium conversion and small attrition fraction. ⺠The biomass acts as a dispersion medium to prevent agglomeration of the lime particles. ⺠The biomass and lime produces hydrated calcium silicate. ⺠Biomass ash melting rearranges the lime structure. ⺠The small attrition fraction is related to the high SiO2 and K2O fractions in the biomass.
