Abstract
► Pyroligneous acid is converted to a hydrogen reach gas under process conditions. ► Higher carbon-concentration in the feed leads to reduced specific gas yield. ► Higher process temperature leads to increased gas yields especially for hydrogen. ► Potassium carbonate catalyzes the reaction to a higher carbon conversion rate. ► Lab-scale and pilot plant experiments correlate well.
