Abstract
⺠Several materials were prepared to be applied as heterogeneous catalysts for the transesterification of fat. ⺠Calcium manganese oxide was selected for detailed studies using response surface methodology (RSM). ⺠A model representing the influence of reaction conditions on biodiesel purity was developed. ⺠The selected catalyst was reused without significant loss of activity.
