Abstract
Experimental data follows the Ratkowsky and the modified Ratkowsky equations with an optimal bio-oxidation temperature of 34.0â¯Â°C, and a maximum temperature of 39.5â¯Â°C. At 34â¯Â°C and at an initial pHâ¯=â¯2, the maximum specific rate of the tetrathionate bio-oxidation is 0.131â¯hâ1.
