Abstract
Experimental data follows the Ratkowsky and the modified Ratkowsky equations with an optimal bio-oxidation temperature of 34.0 °C, and a maximum temperature of 39.5 °C. At 34 °C and at an initial pH = 2, the maximum specific rate of the tetrathionate bio-oxidation is 0.131 h−1.
