Abstract
► Numerical and experimental analyses of drying and wetting foam are presented. ► Our results suggest that coarsening bubbles are responsible for accelerating drainage. ► Forced drainage experiments showed wave-like solutions of analytical drainage models. ► Free drainage showed that bubble size change corresponds to liquid fraction change. ► Reasonable agreement between experiments and simulations was demonstrated.
