Abstract
In the present work there are reported thermophysical properties measurements: densities, speeds of sound, and refractive indices for four binary mixtures namely {dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO)â¯+â¯methylethanolamine (MEA), or benzyl amine (BLA), or 3-dimethylaminol-1-propanol (DMAP), or 2-[2-(dimethylamino-ethoxy-ethanol)] (DMAEOE)} over the entire composition range and at temperatures range of (293.15-323.15)â¯K and at pressure pâ¯=â¯0.1â¯MPa. From these experimental results, excess/derived properties: excess molar volume, isentropic compressibility, deviation in isentropic compressibility and deviation in refractive index have been calculated. Excess/derived properties have been correlated using the Redlich-Kister equation. The results obtained from the work have been discussed in terms of the nature of molecular interactions between the components of the mixture.
