Abstract
The standard enthalpies of formation of PbMoO4 (s) and Pb2MoO5 (s), at 298.15 K were determined by solution calorimetry and are found to be (â1059.6 ± 2.2) kJ molâ1 and (â1274.7 ± 2.3) kJ molâ1, respectively. The heat capacities of PbMoO4 (s) and Pb2MoO5(s) were measured using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The measured heat capacities as a function of temperature are expressed as:Cp(J K-1mol-1)±4.1=127.31+30.47Ã10-3T-1.79Ã106T-2(T:313-798K)Cp(J K-1mol-1)±6.2=169.20+66.69Ã10-3T-1.99Ã106T-2(T:308-798K)
