Abstract
► Hindered diffusion of nanoparticles is considered in an electrochemical context. ► A new computational model for nanoparticle oxidation is developed. ► Hindered diffusion is shown only to have a significant effect for large particles. ► Nanoparticle impact experiments are successfully simulated.
