Abstract
► Electron hopping in TiO2 nanoparticle film assembly is treated quantitatively. ► Transient chronoamperometry measurements at gold-gold junctions are performed. ► A numerical simulation tool is employed and inter-particle electron hopping dissected. ► Sensor applications are suggested based on inter-particle space effects.
