Abstract
⺠O2 and H2O2 reduction by 1,2-diferrocenylethane at a liquid/liquid interface. ⺠Reaction points to a proton-coupled electron transfer mechanism. ⺠DFcE facilitates proton transfer. ⺠Main reaction product is DFcE+, which can further reduce oxygen to form DFcE2+. ⺠Hydrogen peroxide reduction faster than oxygen reduction.
