Abstract
⺠Nonlinear solvation effects on electrode kinetics are examined using Matyushov model. ⺠Different solvent force constants in the oxidized and reduced forms are considered. ⺠Nonlinear solvation leads to curved, asymmetric Tafel and curved Randles-Sevcik plots. ⺠The evaluation of these effects is possible from Butler-Volmer transfer coefficient. ⺠Cyclic voltammetry of diffusional and surface-attached redox couples is analyzed.
