Abstract
⺠Asymmetric Marcus-Hush model is applied to surface-bound redox systems. ⺠Asymmetric model offers additional physical insight into electron transfer processes. ⺠The model accounts for asymmetric, curved Tafel plots reported in literature. ⺠Peak current and potential behaviours in CV and SWV are satisfactorily described. ⺠For finite kinetic redox systems the asymmetric model is recommended.
