Abstract
► New application of carbon nanotubes paste electrodes (CNTPE) modified with cobalt-phthalocyanine for the voltammetric determination of guanine. The modification of a CNTPE with this compound results in amplification of the guanine oxidation response thus generating a more sensitive determination way for this compound of biological importance. By using differential pulse voltammetry guanine and single stranded DNA have been determined with the following detection limits 1.3 × 10−7 mol L−1 and 9.86 × 10−8 mol L−1, respectively.
