Abstract
⺠Thiol monolayers were investigated at electrodes based on Ag, Cu, Bi and Cd amalgams. ⺠Potential range of layer stability is dependent on nature of the amalgam forming metal. ⺠A thiol monolayer at amalgam electrodes fully blocks their surface. ⺠Reproducibility of a thiol monolayer preparation is about 2-3 %. ⺠Amalgam electrodes are convenient tools for the study of properties of thiol films.
